Learning for Life
Project idea and plan
The idea of the project is to identify best practice concerning student retention via transnational comparisons and analysis on two high retention institutions - Axxell and Coleg Cambria. These institutions are also have a great diversity of students backgrounds and culture, and state of study-readiness, but seemed to us from the outset to have a manageable and inclusive study environment - in other words from this projects view quite interesting schools.
Our plan to carry out this project is described in our project-timeframe:
The main elements of the plan are:
- research at 2 vocational schools in Wales and Finland, including interviews with students and staff, and observations.
- collecting quantitative date via online questtionnaires.
- dessimination of our analysis and conclusions by writing and e-book containing these, and publishing it on this website. Partner University of lower Silesia has experience in these areas, and is the main partner concerning the analysis. The fifth partner - danish publishing house SYSTIME - is assisting with writing and publishing the e-book.
In between transnational meetings, we have used "MOODLE" as our communications platform.
